A well-funded venture firm based in New York is seeking an Event Operations and Administrative Manager to support them as they continue to grow their network and community! With $1billion+ AUM and an excellent track record of investments, this is a great opportunity to join a team that focuses on exciting, innovative companies. In this role, you will oversee end-to-end event logistics in conjunction with the marketing and IR team. You’ll also help with the occasional administrative tasks for the team to ensure smooth workflow and communication. The ideal candidate is proactive, anticipates needs, and handles tasks independently with minimal oversight. This position is based in New York City and involves both in-office and hands-on coordination. 120-170K + DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Anticipate needs to ensure smooth event coordination, operations, and administrative tasks.
  • Creatively address challenges in event logistics, vendor management, and office operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to streamline event planning, logistics, and administrative processes while organizing and managing event logistics and vendor coordination.
  • Handle tasks such as research, event coordination, and community management.
  • Provide support in operations, investor relations, and human resources, ensuring effective communication within and between departments.
  • Plan and manage events, including investor trips, venue pre-screening, and logistics.
  • Assist with the setup of new office, including coordinating vendors, managing furniture, electronics, and overseeing the setup process.
  • Take initiative to streamline processes and ensure the successful execution of events and projects.
  • Handle multiple responsibilities with flexibility and quick decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in event planning, operations, or administrative roles.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Hands-on, problem-solving mindset with a high level of independence.
  • Some travel is required to San Francisco for event logistics and execution.
  • Experience in efficiently managing vendors and logistics.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
  • Experience in investor relations, community management, or HR support is a plus.
