Position Overview:

RoBuildX, an innovative startup at the forefront of transforming the homebuilding industry, is seeking a visionary and dynamic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our efforts in integrating robotics with residential construction. This role is critical in driving the development of our groundbreaking robotic technology, which aims to revolutionize the $270B homebuilding market by significantly increasing production speed and reducing costs, thereby addressing the housing deficit for middle and low-income households. As CTO, you will be instrumental in executing our ambitious vision, ensuring that our robotics technology seamlessly integrates with the architecture, structural engineering, and supply chain aspects of home construction. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of translating innovative ideas into scalable and successful products. As the CTO, you will play a pivotal role in creating our Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and shaping our technology roadmap, fostering a culture of innovation, and driving the execution of our ambitious vision.

Key Responsibilities:

· Robotic Integration:

o Lead the design and implementation of robotic systems for the construction of homes, ensuring that all components—from design to materials—are seamlessly integrated into a cohesive and efficient building process. Your expertise in robotics will drive the automation of homebuilding, akin to the assembly line production of automobiles.

o Deep knowledge and experience in robotics, including design, construction, manipulation, precision, and the integration of AI into automation systems. Proven ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical applications.

· Product Development / Project Management:

o Oversee the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from concept ideation to commercialization.

o Oversee all aspects of project management, including cost estimation, scheduling, and supply chain management. Ensure timely and full delivery of materials to construction sites, facilitating the assembly of homes with precision and efficiency.

· Technology Trends and Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and competitive landscape. Evaluate new technologies and innovation opportunities to maintain our competitive edge and drive continuous improvement.

· Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the company's overall vision and goals. Lead the research and development efforts to create disruptive robotics solutions that address homebuilding market needs and opportunities.

· Corporate Development: In addition to your primary responsibilities, contribute to corporate development activities, including technology implementation, growth strategy, and location planning, as part of your role as CTO. Your strategic insights will be key to scaling our operations and achieving our long-term objectives.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (Master's or Ph.D.) preferred.

· Minimum of 4 years of experience in a robotics company.

· Proven track record of leadership and success in technology development, preferably in the robotics or automation industry.

  • Experience in software and hardware development, robotics systems, and mechatronics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, build consensus, and influence key stakeholders.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and a drive to push the boundaries of technology.

Additional Requirements:

· Ability to travel as needed.

· Experience in the construction industry, particularly with construction methods and modular construction, is a plus.

· Proficiency in patent regulations and intellectual property management is also preferred.

  • Experience in startup environments or fast-paced, high-growth companies is highly desirable.
