Success in this position is demonstrated daily through the effective assistance of individuals, seamless coordination of volunteer events, and the establishment of strong partnerships with other agencies and organizations. The role is integral to the organization's mission, ensuring that services provided are efficient, comprehensive, and avoid duplication by fostering collaboration across the community.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Hotline Support
  • Responding promptly to hotline calls, providing direct assistance to individuals in need.
  • Application Assistance
  • Guiding individuals through the application process to ensure a seamless experience.
  • Weekly Individual Meetings
  • Conducting regular one-on-one meetings with clients to address their specific needs and concerns.
  • Volunteer Engagement
  • Active participation in volunteer events, offering support and assistance to those in need within the community.
  • Community Outreach
  • Engaging in outreach efforts through emails, partnerships, and events to connect with individuals and address their unique challenges.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Pursuing or obtained a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Proficient in spoken and written Spanish, preferably fluent
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment (virtual and in-person)
  • Some flexibility in working hours, with an expectation of one or two weekend volunteer events per month

Compensation: This position offers $24/hour for a 3-month term, with potential for extension.
