The Account Director will lead a portfolio of clients, ranging from AOR to project base. They take responsibility for the delivery of quality creative work that meets client needs and addresses their business problems, and must champion that work. They will do so through the effective management of their own team, and their ability to lead and inspire others inside and outside the agency. Responsibilities

  • Leading client accounts within the agency, with overall responsibility for the client agency relationship
  • Working with strategy planners to interrogate client briefs, by challenging and asking questions, to develop communications briefs that meet business needs in an effective and accountable way. This is done in collaboration with media planners
  • Supporting the strategist in writing inspirational creative briefs and going on to direct the strategic development of creative work, presenting and selling this effectively to clients
  • Ensuring the profitability and growth of client accounts
  • Identifying, developing and converting new business opportunities with existing and future agency clients
  • Negotiating contracts and fees with marketing directors and client procurement personnel
  • Managing the work, performance and professional development of team members
  • Leading and inspiring those outside of the core team, including creative teams and those in other agencies working on the same account
  • Effectively monitoring and reporting financial vitals to agency and client management
  • Maintaining a detailed awareness of relevant market trends affecting their accounts, and developments in the wider advertising and communications industry


Qualifications

  • 8+ years of relevant experience within an agency account management role
  • Team player mentality. You have a positive attitude and a willingness to help & inspire those around you
  • Ability to bring departments together to problem solve and effectively deliver on clients goals
  • Strong EQ and awareness to build strong client relationships
  • Experience with digital and traditional including Print, Direct Mail, Radio, TV
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Self-starting, positive work ethic, to consistently meet and exceed objectives and take on more responsibility

Salary range: $85,000-120,000 based on experience This is a full-time position in our Boulder, CO office. Our office is currently operating in a hybrid capacity with one in-office day per week. We are committed to finding top talent and will prioritize local candidates, but we are open to considering remote applicants for the right fit.
