Detail-oriented, reliable, and creative team player to assist in field evaluations of process design for new and existing facilities.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Support field evaluations of existing process units
- Assist in the design and development of new or revamped process equipment, piping and instrumentation
- Assist in the performance of calculations, development of PFDs and P&IDs, provide design documentation for downstream engineering disciplines, assist in development of equipment specifications, assist with the compilation of scope of work packages for construction
- Education: Must be actively enrolled in a Chemical Engineering degree program
- Experience:Min Yr = 0 Max Yr = 1+
- Licensure: Eligible to take E.I.T. within one year of graduation date preferred
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite required
- Management: No management experience required
- Other Skills: Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Develop an understanding of how process engineering principles are applied to real-world refinery and chemical plant projects
- Develop a working relationship with industry professionals at all levels within an organization
- Learn work processes in heavy industrial environments
- Some exposure to field work environments
- Learn the basics of developing calculations and analytical models
- You must possess physical mobility (on the ground and at heights)
- You may be required to pick up, lift, carry, and move up to 50 lbs
- You may be required to work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and may occasionally work off platforms/scaffolding/ladders using the appropriate and required fall protection
- You must be able to work in all weather conditions (including heat, rain, cold, and wind) while wearing the appropriate PPE. This may include but not be limited to a hard hat, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, masks/respirators, hi-vis safety vests, leather gloves, and leather, steel-toed work boots
- You may be required to position yourself to work in confined spaces
- You may be required to adhere to a client’s random drug testing program prior to entering their site
- You may be required to meet a client’s facial hair safety policy prior to entering their site
