The Appraisal Coordinator will assist in organizing, prioritizing, facilitating and monitoring the operational flow of appraisal orders. They will review appraisal reports on homes and other properties to determine whether or not to issue a mortgage or other loan. As an Appraisal Coordinator, duties revolve around analyzing an applicant’s assets, the reports from an appraiser, and any additional information relevant to the bank or financial institution.

Responsibilities

  • Solicit and review bids from appraisers for appraisal orders.
  • Assign appraisal orders to qualified appraisers.
  • Follow up with appraisers to ensure timely completion of orders.
  • Client/borrower communication as necessary.
  • Communicate updates on appraisal status to the client.
  • Communicate updates on appraisal status to the account executive.
  • Update the system of record as necessary.
  • Identify situations to be escalated for further assistance.
  • Manage and prioritize pipeline of orders via queues.
  • Respond to appraiser questions or route questions to the appropriate party.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the residential real estate market.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Word, Excel, etc.
  • Ability to understand simple problems and to collaborate and explore alternative solutions.
  • Ability to follow directions and adjust to changes in directions.
  • Ability to communicate stated requirements.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
