Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Manager to lead our Cobrand Card modernization efforts. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fintech, SaaS/PaaS product build experience , Credit card/payments expertise, and proven product management track record.

As a Co-branded Card Sr Product manager you will lead the product discovery and delivery efforts to modernize how we build Cobrand Card products and capabilities, collaborating with top talent around the firm to deliver best in class product platforms and solutions.

As a Product manager within the Card Cobrand platform, you will be at the forefront of our modernization efforts. Your role is not limited to uplifting the existing platform, but also involves creating a suite of new capabilities and features to improve our scalability, reusability, resiliency, overall quality, and availability. You will collaborate with design, product, data and technology leaders across our organization, to modernize not just our technology stacks but also our modes of business operations and delivery.

As a Product manager, you will conduct product discovery activities, define, refine requirements under agile framework, prioritize, and execute the product build with scrum teams to ensure the most valuable and meaningful functionality of the product roadmap gets delivered. Focused on Minimum viable product(MVP) based product releases, which results in a superior customer experience for the customers, partners and the entire business organization.

This position is part of the Chase Co-Branded Cards organization under Card Services, a key line of business within Chase's Consumer & Community Banking group.

Job responsibilities
  • Customer Focus: Engage with customers and business users to gather feedback, understand their pain points, and ensure the product meets their needs.
  • Product Strategy: Co-develop and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the Cobrand cards in alignment with company goals and market demands.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization, including engineering, design, data, marketing, sales, and customer support, to deliver high-quality products and solutions to customers.
  • Partner engagement: Collaborate and jointly develop the requirements and use cases with external partner teams and act as primary subject matter expert for Chase teams on those requirements.
  • Product Development: Drive the product development lifecycle based on Cobrand product roadmap, from ideation to launch, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.
  • Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and drive continuous improvement.
  • Compliance and Security: Ensure the Card platform complies with regulatory requirements and industry standards for security and data protection.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, customer needs, and industry trends.
  • Go-to-Market: Assist in develop go-to-market strategies, including positioning, release planning and promotional plans, in collaboration with the marketing team.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a equivalent engineering field. MBA or advanced MS degree is a plus
  • Experience: 10+ years of product management experience, preferably in Banking, Financial Services, fintech or payment systems
  • Customer-Centric: Passion for understanding customer needs and delivering exceptional user experiences.
  • Communication: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to influence and partner / collaborate to drive cross-functional teams without authority.
  • Design: Applying design thinking (client journey, UX / UI, moments of truth) and comfortable explaining target state customer experiences to stakeholders and technology teams through wireframes and mockups. Prior work experience in API definitions and design with a good understanding of modern software stack and database knowledge a plus
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of APIs, Business process automation, payment processing, and card issuance technologies. Proven work experience on Digital web/mobile, API based applications on public cloud, Data analytics
  • Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions. Ability to analyze opportunities & problems, recommend solutions, and communicate effectively & confidently (both verbal and written)
  • Leadership: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Agility: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously with clear structure and clarity.

  • MBA or advanced MS degree is a plus
