District Controller

The District Controller at Coastal Waste & Recycling will oversee financial operations for the assigned district, ensuring accurate financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing a team of financial professionals, providing strategic financial insights, and working closely with district management to drive operational efficiency and financial performance.

• Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial controls and guidelines for respective district
• Provide comprehensive financial updates to senior managers and business partners by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points
• Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective actions
• Help develop and support short- and long-term operational strategies
• Ensure compliance with financial and accounting regulations
• Prepare and manage respective district budgets
• Manage respective district financial reports and documents, such as balance sheets and income statements
• Reconcile monthly reports as required
• Analyze and document respective districts financial information
• Five or more years of professional accounting experience with minimum two years in public accounting
• Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
• Exemplary history of financial project management
• Certified Public Accountant

• Bilingual Spanish
