Hiring Salary Range: $375,000.00 - 425,000.00.
The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement. This position is bonus eligible.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborates with News Directors to mine the best-of content from stations for all platforms
- Represents station editorial teams at daily News editorial meeting and partners with bureaus, beats and news gathering teams
- Coordinates breaking news between Super Desk and Stations
- Identifies off-air talent – producers, EPS, etc. for mobility across News and Stations
- Works with the Talent team to mine on-air talent and find opportunities across platforms
- Builds training and development programs.
- Builds a welcoming, inclusive culture that allows people to be their best, authentic selves
- Ensures all voices are represented in editorial meetings and story assignments
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, preferred
- Prior experience as a News Director/Content Lead for a local television station
- Prior Network or cable news experience preferred
- Effectively lead and manage in a dynamic and challenging environment
- Demonstrates passion as a hands-on executive who thrives on breaking news/weather, enterprise reporting, memorable storytelling, and community journalism
- Proven leadership and strategic decision making
- A participative leadership approach that fosters collaboration and innovation
- Track record of being a successful, people-first manager who fosters collaboration and feedback
- Excellent communication skills
