Perfomance Tester

Job Description:

The SME will be the responsible for Capacity Planning and Performance Test Activities, using Loadrunner and SoapUI. The ideal candidate will be an expert in the areas of both Performance and Automated testing, with extensive technical knowledge, practical experience in carrying out testing efforts, and a background that includes implementing and maintaining an Automation or Performance testing program. He or she will be expected to provide guidance to Project Teams in various stages of maturity and must be able to provide both technical support and assist in establishing best practices and SOPs.

• Assist Projects to implement and maintain an effective performance or automation testing program.
• Evaluate a Project's existing performance testing or automation efforts and provide recommendations for improvements.
• Mentor and train Performance Engineers and/or Automation developers when needed.
• Track statistics of performance and automated testing programs across the company and identify outliers for further investigation.
• Identify/develop and disseminate testing best practices throughout the company.
• Recommend process improvements to increase efficiency, then track and verify the results.
• Evaluate hardware and/or software tools for potential future testing efforts.
• Develop and execute scripts using LoadRunner.
• Generate reports and metrics on load tests using LoadRunner.
• Develop and execute automated test cases using Quick Test Professional (QTP)
• Generate reports and metrics using Quality Center (QC) and QTP
• Be able to customize the reports in QC.
• Create various testing documentation, including test metrics and defect and test summary reports.
• Create manual test scenarios and test cases.
• Able to execute test cases manually.

Required Skills:

• Hands on LoadRunner and QTP experience
• Experience with XML
• Experience working with large volumes of data (creating, modifying etc. for performance testing) and various databases.
• Experience with collecting, analyzing, and presenting test results.
• Experience creating test strategy and test plans.
• Good working knowledge of QC and its relational logical database table relationships
• Advanced SQL query writing skills
• Perform data analysis to build statistical and detailed reports and graphs
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Be a very good team player and able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Well organized and efficient with excellent judgment and decision-making skills
• Experience working in the CMMI environment
• Good knowledge of all phases of test life cycle
• Must have flexible schedule
• Aptitude for solving complex analytical and technical problems
• Ability to identify and advocate for excellence
• Unix, Loadrunner, C++
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong collaboration skills

Required Experience:

• 7+ Years overall testing experience, including
• 2+ Years of Performance Testing
• Bachelor s degree with major in computer science
• CMS Experience must
