Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Subject Matter Expert (SME)inProcurement Data Standardsto join our Financial Management Data Product Team. This role is crucial in enhancing core and data analytics capabilities across various functional domains, with a focus on Procurement and Financial Management (FM) datasets. By improving the linkage of these datasets, we provide the Department of Defense (DoD) with essential insights into mission-critical processes. The position requires enhancing the quality and completeness of data at detailed contract line item number (CLIN) and line of accounting (LOA) levels, ensuring robust and reliable data integration for optimal decision-making. Security Clearance:Active Secret Clearance Required

Education:Bachelor's Degree

Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years experience working directly withEDA/WAWFandPIEEdata or core feeder systems; some experience with least one of the major General Ledger systems:
  • P2P Process experience:
  • Experience within one of the systems described above or major contract writing systems
  • Knowledge of Federal accounting practices
  • Familiarity withFMRandDFARs

Additional Information

Major Duties:

  • Identifying new data sources or updates to existing data feeds, as well as required changes to Common Data Model to allow for better data integration between FM and Procurement data
  • Gather and record requirements from users: Meet with stakeholders and gather requirements to create tools used by both FM and procurement stakeholders leveraging the combined data sources for those communities, as well as develop a backlog and priority for implementing requirements
  • Work with Data engineers to set up gold tables to feed applications: Identify business rules and validate data requirements to best support building of applications
  • Work with user community to review and update backlog of requirements as identified: Regularly collaborate with the Procurement and FM community users to identify additional requirements and applications that support user needs / groom backlog regularly based on customer guidance and needs of users
  • Collaborate with additional functional areas within Advana community to determine how procurementdata can be leveraged outside of FM and Procurement communities
