  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Title: Power BI Report Developer (Temporary Consultant)

Department: Enterprise Asset Management

Location: NY City, NY (work from home 1 day per week)

Summary:

The Enterprise Asset Management Department is seeking a highly skilled Power BI Report Developer to join our team on a temporary basis. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and implementing Power BI solutions, with a strong background in data analysis and visualization. This role will involve supporting the sustainment of existing Power BI solutions, extracting and transforming data, and collaborating with business lines to capture their objectives and prioritize reporting needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the sustainment of existing Power BI solutions.
  • Extract, transform, and load data using SQL.
  • Collaborate with business lines to understand their objectives and prioritize reporting opportunities.
  • Create mock-up reports for proof-of-concept reviews.
  • Support data lifecycle management activities, including data quality reviews.
  • Develop system reporting solutions based on business needs.
  • Create, validate, execute, and document test cases.
  • Develop end-user training and reference materials.
  • Provide end-user training and support.
  • Assist in implementation go-live and post-go-live activities.
  • Research and resolve system problems and errors.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in developing and implementing Power BI solutions.
  • Strong proficiency in Data Analysis Expressions (DAX), M, ETL (Power Query), SQL, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with HxGN EAM or other EAM/enterprise data management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Microsoft Power BI certifications or Azure certifications are a plus.
  • Experience working in an Agile project delivery model is preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, or Postgres.
  • Knowledge of Azure.
  • Railroad or Subway or Transit Industry experience
