  1. Make sure the webpage is open.
  2. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Safari > Preferences, then click Security.
  3. Make sure the Enable JavaScript checkbox is selected.
  4. Click Websites.
  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Position Overview:
This position offers consultative and technical support services to DBHDS staff, ensuring timely problem resolution, system/data access, and optimal system performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for technical support within the organization
  • Provide telephone, walk-in, and email support to the Help Desk for field, faculty, and staff
  • Accurately document requests and efforts in the Help Desk Ticketing and Inventory Management systems
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and laptop hardware and software for faculty and staff
  • Triage and escalate advanced second and third-tier requests to appropriate technical personnel
  • Maintain strong working relationships with IT professionals (network services, software engineers, application developers) for timely issue resolution or escalation on behalf of the user.

Skills Required:

  • Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Hands-on experience and experience with ticketing systems such as Service Now.
  • Experience with Microsoft office software including Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Internet Explorer.
  • Proficiency in various operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux), understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
