  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

Job Description:

  • Nutshell: Needs very strong exp testing Ab Initio graphs by writing SQL and strong exp testing reports in Cognos. Needs to have UNIX and Control-M exp as well. Need very strong ETL testing exp. Transformation part if key. Needs to be very skilled at SQL writing in a dimensionally modeled data warehouse environment .. Must have..
  • Healthcare and Financial BG is preferred for this role.
  • BCBSA uses Ab Initio for ETL. Needs to have tested in an environment where the Developers were developing in Ab Initio.
  • Needs to have good exp testing reports in Cognos
  • Automation: Exp working with QuerySurge to compare large volume data sets would be ideal. A similar automation tool will work as well though.
  • They use Jira and Zephyr Enterprise for defect tracking/mgmt. Needs to have defect exp.
  • Testing Certs are valued and preferred.

Qualified candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Define approach to validating system functionality and quality delivery of all assigned projects and technical initiatives
  • Develop/review testing strategies and test plans, including functional testing, regression testing, negative testing, deployment testing , ETL job execution (Control-M)testing , and error handling testing.
  • Reinforce team to follow QA Guidelines, QA methodology and Best Practices.
    Work with business to understand the requirement.
  • Work with operations team to coordinate the build of the testing environment for the initiative.
  • Track Defects and report on testing progress and results.
  • Demonstrate advance SQL, UNIX, Control-M and ETL (Ab Initio) skills.
    Demonstrate understanding and experience testing ETL in a dimensionally modeled data warehouse
  • Demonstrate understanding and experience testing ETL with complex transformation rules and very large data sets
