DETAILS

This role will assist with system transformation efforts and ensure that business processes are correctly mapped to supporting system data assets. When data inventories are identified, this role will work with subject matter experts, SME s, and the business and technology teams to document links between the assets and business processes. Additionally, this role may be asked to work with SMEs to update data dictionaries and document necessary metadata associated with the assets to streamline system transformation from existing mainframe-based systems to a web-based system. This role also loads datasets into relational databases, creating table structures to link and cross-reference data assets with reports, applications, interfaces, batch processes, and associated business processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with system transformation to web-based platforms.
  • Working with SMEs from business and tech teams to document and link assets to business processes.
  • Updating data dictionaries and metadata, loading datasets into relational databases.
  • Ensuring that business processes align with data assets during the modernization.
  • The system transformation involves moving the case management system PROTECT from client-server to a middleware-based solution, with business logic migrated to the middle tier.

Key Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience with relational databases and SQL.
  • 10+ years of experience with Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs) and documenting complex data relationships.
  • 5+ years of experience with ETL for data transformation.
  • Experience with data modeling tools (ERwin preferred).
  • MS SQL Server and Oracle experience.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with Tableau and Business Objects.
  • IBM DB2 experience.
  • Experience with SecureDevOps, Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), and Secure coding practices.

Interview Process:

  • Interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams with the camera on. Multiple interviewers may be present, and additional rounds will be scheduled if necessary.

Equipment:

  • Remote work equipment will be provided.

Additional Details:

  • The project is scheduled to run through 06/2027, though the initial contract is until 06/30/2025, with potential extensions.
