Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed layout designs for manufacturing facilities, ensuring optimal space utilization and workflow efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to integrate new equipment and processes into existing layouts.
  • Utilize CAD software to create and modify facility layouts, including equipment placement, workstations, and material handling systems.
  • Conduct site surveys and measurements to ensure accuracy of layout designs.
  • Analyze production data and workflow to identify areas for layout improvements and implement changes to enhance productivity.
  • Prepare detailed documentation and drawings to support layout changes and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source and install necessary equipment and materials for layout changes.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing layout expertise and recommendations.
  • Ensure layouts are compliant with safety regulations and ergonomic standards.
  • Provide technical support and training to staff on layout changes and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Layout Specialist, Industrial Engineer, or similar role in the automotive industry.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) and other relevant design tools.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and material handling systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality.

The pay range that the employer in good faith reasonably expects to pay for this position is $23.11/hour - $36.12/hour. Our benefits include medical, dental, vision and retirement benefits. Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis.
