Software Resources has an immediate, long term contract job opportunity for a Business Analyst Time and Attendance Systems with a major organization in Miami, FL. Part-time, 20 - 25/hrs per week. Mostly remote, but must be local to Miami as needed for onsite meetings.

Description:

Part-time intermediate professional level role to work with business partners within one business function to align technology solutions with business strategies. Demonstrates an informed knowledge of a business area to resolve problems on an ongoing basis. Will provide support on several moderately complex business processes. Will work on multiple projects as a project team member, occasionally as a project leader. May coach more junior staff.
Responsibilities:
Analyzing requirements of Time and Attendance Systems enhancements from gathering time data, to approvals, corrections, reporting, and interfacing to M-DCPS SAP ERP Payroll System.
Lead meetings and hold workshops to gather needed information.
Serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization in order to provide technical solutions to meet user needs.
Analyzes business partner's operations to understand their strengths and weaknesses to determine opportunities to automate processes and functions.
Assists in the business process redesign and documentation as needed for new technology and processes.
Translates high level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications.
Educates the IT organization on the direction of the business.
May make recommendations for buy vs. build decision.
Qualifications:
Requires Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field or equivalent work experience; Access, SQL; possess a highly analytical mindset and excellent interpersonal and communication skills with expertise in the supported business unit(s), as well as an understanding of the IT organization's systems and capabilities; possesses an understanding of technological trends and uses this knowledge to bring solutions to business units supported to enhance the enterprise's competitive edge. Requires 3 to 5 years of relevant technical or business work experience, including the area of Time and Attendance.
