We are seeking a motivated individual with a technical background or relevant schooling who is eager to start a career in IT. This role involves working in the Command Center, where you will receive comprehensive training and exposure to our data center and IT operations. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, strong multitasker, effective communicator, and a team player capable of handling a fast-paced workload.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor over 800 servers using Unicenter and Teamquest monitoring tools.
- Oversee a diverse enterprise environment consisting of MVS, UNIX, LINUX, and Windows systems.
- Utilize CA Workload Automation (formerly D-Series Automation) for job scheduling.
- Manage and resolve tickets using the Cherwell Ticketing System.
- Employ various monitoring tools such as HP Business Service Management (BSM), OEM, Dynatrace, and SolarWinds.
- Perform additional tasks including tape library management and facility walkthroughs.
Qualifications:
- Technical background or relevant schooling in IT.
- Experience monitoring enterprise-sized MVS mainframe systems.
- Background in distributed systems or mainframe environments.
- Familiarity with job scheduling, particularly using JOBTRAC by CA Workload Automation.
- Experience with Service Manager as a ticketing system.
- Strong multitasking abilities and a quick learning aptitude.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Ability to handle a fast-paced workload efficiently.
Additional Information:
- This position operates during the 3rd shift.
- Comprehensive training will be provided to familiarize you with our Command Center, data center, and overall IT operations.
