Aevum Defense is an American aerospace and defense company that designs, develops, and operates autonomous space launch technologies and services. Aevum Defense is a prime contractor directly supporting the US Department of Defense (DoD) on critical national security capabilities.

Our Mission

Aevum Defense was founded to enable launch customers to be able to launch satellites or spacecraft to orbit in 180 minutes or less.

This is an early career opportunity for engineers and/or project managers. The Aevum Space and Defense is seeking a Mission Management Associate (MMA) to support Aevum launches to space for the US Department of Defense.

You will support Aevum Mission Managers who are responsible for all launch and mission assurance activities for their assigned launch contract. As the MMA, you will help complete mission activities in accordance with launch contract deliverables and requirements. The MMA is highly professional, has superb interpersonal skills, and serves as a point of contact (POC) to Aevum's defense customers.

MMA responsibilities include attending weekly customer meetings, supporting the integration of space vehicle (SV) or other payloads to Aevum's Ravn X launch vehicle, developing deliverables to enter formal mission reviews, coordinating mission activities from mission assurance to launch operations to post-flight review.

In day-to-day performance of their responsibilities, the MMA works closely with multi-disciplinary teams and departments within Aevum. The ideal candidate has extensive experience working within defense organizations and culture. This is a fast-paced position, but prior experience working launch missions is not required. The company will provide training.

Aevum operates multiple launch sites throughout the United States and our customers span the US – traveling domestically as necessary is expected of the MMA.

Aevum's development timelines are aggressive and you'll be asked to work hard, including nights and weekends and long hours, as necessary
