Under the direction of the Director of Employee Relations, the Employee Relations Specialist provides guidance to all organizational levels, leveraging specialized expertise to address employee questions, concerns, and grievances.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Relations:

  • Manage complex employee relations issues and recommend resolutions.
  • Serve as a facilitator to resolve low-risk employee disagreements when necessary.
  • Maintain all documentation related to employee relations, including intake notes, investigations, and final reports.
  • Interpret corporate policies, employment law, and regulations to provide advice on Employee Relations (ER) inquiries.
  • Manage tier 1 employee matters and escalate to appropriate centers of excellence (COE) as needed.
  • Participate in termination conversations for tier 1 issues, including attendance and performance metrics.
  • Build strong relationships with HR Business Partners and internal teams through collaboration.
  • Support workforce reduction efforts in partnership with HR and Legal.

Compliance:

  • Research and assess firm activities for risks based on current laws and regulations.
  • Manage compliance monitoring and ensure adherence to policies.
  • Ensure 100% completion of all required company policy acknowledgments.
  • Assist with in-office badge reporting and policy development.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience leading complex investigations.
  • Knowledge of HR fundamentals, including employee relations, talent acquisition, diversity & inclusion, and performance management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with proven ability to manage relationships and influence stakeholders.
  • Expertise in employment law and its application in workplace issues.
