Location: 100% Remote (Must reside in Metro Detroit, MI for occasional meetings)
Duration: 6+ month contract

Job Description:

We are seeking a Voice Architect to oversee the day-to-day operations of our voice network. This role involves developing department staff in support, process (ITIL and Change Control), and software tools. The voice network includes data center-hosted applications, multiple advanced contact centers, and 30,000 voice terminals across 70 locations in southeastern Michigan. The Voice Architect will supervise and support department personnel and coordinate with other IT departments. Awareness of current and future projects and their impact on the systems is crucial.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prioritize tasks effectively
  • Merge and migrate systems
  • Develop and execute roadmaps for voice infrastructure migration
  • Manage large projects

Required Certifications/Licenses:
  • ITIL certification (desired)
  • Additional certifications in voice and related technologies preferred

Top Skills:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with voice teams and solutions
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with complex multi-site VoIP networks
  • Experience in a multi-vendor voice and data environment (Siemens/Unify, Cisco, Avaya)
  • Experience with performance optimization and capacity planning tools (Orion Solar Winds, Oasis, Comview, Impact Technologies)
  • Experience with wireless communication technologies (Spectralink, ASCOM) in healthcare
  • 10 years of experience with Voice Mail and Unified Messaging systems (preferably Unify Xpressions)
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions
  • Strong interpersonal, conflict management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under deadline pressure

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management, or related field, or equivalent Health Care IT Voice Network Management experience
  • Relevant industry certifications (Unify/Siemens, ITIL preferred)
