Controls System Engineer

Detroit, MI (Hybrid)

Full-time (40/hrs)

$80,000+ (DOE)

As a Controls Systems Engineer, you will be joining the largest utility in Michigan supporting their Renewable Energy projects. You will be working in a hybrid work environment and when you are out in the field, you will be supporting the construction and connection of devices at renewable sites. If you are a self-starter with experience in hardware systems and controls, don t hesitate to apply.

Requirements:

• Bachelor s degree in electrical or computer engineering, or Computer Science
• 2+ years of experience with Distributed Control Systems (DCS) or SCADA systems
• Experience working with these systems in an industrial environment
• Functional knowledge of interfacing to systems through Open Platform Communications (OPC)
• Bonus if you have experience working with computer-based software and hardware systems in a wind and solar environment

Responsibilities:

• Upgrade servers located in substations at wind parks
• I/O checkout during control upgrades
• Mapping tags to proper channels for equipment integration
