Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Architect with extensive hands-on experience in Terraform and a passion for coding. As a key member of our Cloud Engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, scalable, and optimized for performance. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud architecture best practices, the ability to write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, and a willingness to engage in hands-on coding when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:
Architect and Design: Develop and implement cloud architectures that meet our business needs.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of cloud infrastructure. Write, review, and maintain Terraform scripts to ensure efficient infrastructure deployment.
Hands-On Coding: Engage in hands-on coding and scripting to automate processes, build CI/CD pipelines, and integrate cloud services with application development workflows.
Cloud Management: Oversee the configuration and management of AWS cloud services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation.
Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize cloud resources for performance, security, and cost. Implement best practices for cloud resource management and cost control.
Security and Compliance: Ensure that cloud infrastructure complies with security standards and regulatory requirements. Implement security measures such as encryption, IAM policies, and network security.
Collaboration: Work closely with development, DevOps, and security teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing systems and workflows. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
Troubleshooting and Support: Provide advanced troubleshooting for cloud-related issues and support for cloud infrastructure deployments and migrations.

Technical Skills:
Deep understanding of AWS services and architecture, including networking, compute, storage, databases, and security.
Proficiency in Terraform, including writing and managing modules, state management, and Terraform Cloud/Enterprise.
Experience with CI/CD tools and automation frameworks (e.g., GitLab CI/CD, Team City, Octopus).
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Fargate).
Understanding of security best practices in a cloud environment.
Strong coding skills in languages such as Powershell, .NET, SQL, or similar is a plus.
