Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Systems Administrator with extensive experience in Microsoft Azure and the Microsoft technology stack. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining cloud and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring systems are secure, scalable, and efficiently operational. The role requires a proactive individual with a deep understanding of cloud technologies, especially Azure, and a solid grasp of the full Microsoft ecosystem (Active Directory, Windows Server, Office 365, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the Azure cloud environment, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
  • Implement, monitor, and maintain infrastructure on Azure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and availability.
  • Administer, troubleshoot, and support Microsoft Stack technologies including but not limited to Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange, and Office 365.
  • Automate routine tasks through PowerShell or other scripting tools.
  • Ensure secure access management and role-based permissions for both on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Perform regular updates, patches, and maintenance on all systems.
  • Plan and execute cloud migration strategies when applicable.
  • Work closely with other IT teams to troubleshoot system issues and implement new solutions.
  • Perform backups, disaster recovery planning, and testing.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, best practices, and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Manage system upgrades and new deployments, minimizing system downtime and user impact.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Systems Administrator, with a focus on Azure cloud technologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience with the Microsoft technology stack:
    • Azure: VMs, Azure Active Directory, Azure Monitor, Backup, Networking.
    • Windows Server: Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, File Server, Hyper-V.
    • Office 365: Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive.
    • PowerShell scripting for automation.
  • Experience with security frameworks and best practices, including role-based access control and multi-factor authentication.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Experience with system monitoring and performance tuning.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like ARM templates or Terraform.
  • Knowledge of network infrastructure, firewalls, and VPN configuration.
  • Experience with hybrid environments (on-premise and cloud integrations).

Education and Certifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, MCSA, MCSE, or similar are highly desirable.
