Test Engineer role to support the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and their critical mission needs. In this role you will be part of an agile delivery team focused on delivering customer-facing web-based applications with an emphasis on providing high value features to our customers. You will serve as a core support member for the team working closely with the Product Owner and high performing development team to help manage the product. You will attend customer and team meetings to support various program tasks including acceptance testing criteria, user acceptance testing, demonstrations, production troubleshooting issues, etc. As needed, create document artifacts to support testing and quality conformance.

HOW A TEST ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:

• Develop, document and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like test data, data validation, and testing scripts.
• Execute and evaluate manual or test cases and report test results.
• Work in an agile environment with rapidly changing requirements.
• Support test plan/case reviews with cross-functional team members.
• Support all aspects of user acceptance testing by the primary customer and/or users.
• Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.
• Collaborate with team members (Development, Testing Engineers, Scrum Master), Product Owner and Business partners to ensure that proper software testing methodologies are used, product requirements/issues are documented and diagnosed, and testing is completed according to established deadlines and processes.
• Work closely with release manager to ensure completion of key tasks including deployment, code baseline and merge, version control, etc.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

• Bachelor s and 6 years of experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience in lieu of degree).
• 4 years of experience in the development and execution of test plans and test scripts for Web-based applications.
• 3+ years' experience with Atlassian software such as JIRA and Confluence.
• At least 1 year of Oracle SQL experience.
• Ability to attain a public trust clearance.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• 2+ years of experience developing front end web applications interfaces.
• Experience with Acceptance Test Driven Development (Gherkin), Behavior Driven Development.
• Programming and scripting with Java & HTML/CSS//XML/ JavaScript.
• Testing Framework: TestNG, BDD, Junit, Protractor.
• Agile / Scrum.
• Good verbal and written communication skill.

SECURITY CLEARANCE LEVEL:

• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust Level 5 clearance, which requires residency in the U.S. for 3 of the last 5 years.
