Our government client is looking for an experienced Microsoft Power BI Developer on a hybrid 12+ months renewable contract role in Durham , NC.

Position: Microsoft Power BI Developer

Job Description:
The agency requires the services of a Power BI Dashboard developer to provide business and systems analysis, modeling, design, and programming for FNS and SNAP dashboard development and maintenance operations using ORACLE, and PL\SQL, Synapse and Power BI programming technologies. This role will work with the FNS team to develop and maintain the dashboard and reporting code for some of the enhancements based on the backlog of change requests from the business and help fix some of the defects from the backlog as well. This role will help develop several FNS dashboards like WIC cross enrollment dashboards, SEBT dashboard and maintain the existing FNS dashboards and develop ETLs and Synapse pipeline along with Power BI code for the same. This role will also help train other program teams to develop synapse and Power BI code.
Required/Desired Skills

  • 5 years of Experience with developing dashboards using Power BI and Azure Synapse Required
  • 5 years of Experience in using Oracle, Oracle Utilities, ETL tools Required
  • 5 years of Experience with PL/SQL scripting and Relational Database modeling Required
  • 5 years of Experience with structured system development methodologies Required
  • 5 years of Ability to develop relationships/partnerships with customer by responding to needs and exhibiting an sense of urgency; independently identify options Required
  • 5 years of Ability to organize, prioritize, and follow complex and/or detailed technical procedures Required
  • 5 years of Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Business Objects or BIRT Highly desired
  • 2 years of Experience with Agile (Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe) development Highly desired
  • Data Warehouse experience Highly desired
  • 2 years of Familiarity with Amazon RedShift & Tableau Desired
  • 2 years of Experience with Dell Boomi Desired
