Internship Summary

Kuraray's paid internship program allows students the opportunity to obtain valuable, applicable work experience in a fast-paced, and challenging environment. The program blends real-world experience with an extensive overview of the chemical industry. Knowledgeable mentors will provide guidance as you gain professional hands-on experience. The internship will be 13 weeks in duration for the summer of 2025 with flexible start dates. Student interns must be able to work full-time.

The internship will be split between a major project and daily tasks.

No Housing will be provided as part of the internship.

Position Summary

The Marketing and Communications group is responsible for all corporate communications for the Americas region and product marketing for five distinct product lines. As an intern, you will have the chance to work on a wide range of marketing and communications functions, making it an ideal opportunity for individuals who want to explore various aspects of this field and grow within a collaborative team.

For the initial two weeks, this position requires on-site presence in Wilmington, Delaware. Following this period, attendance will be limited to Wednesdays in the office, with remote work for the remainder of the week.

No Housing will be provided as part of the internship.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create engaging and relevant content for various email marketing campaigns.
  • Conduct market research to gain insights into industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor analysis.
  • Contribute to social media planning and assist in content creation for the company's social media profiles, including content scheduling, engagement monitoring and responding to all comments and messages.
  • Organization of images in Canto project database by uploading project images for each region to their respective folders and ensuring all project description content is complete and accurate.
  • Assist with essential administrative functions, including tasks like mailing, event sign-up management, organizing promotional items, etc.

Qualifications And Skills

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, Sciences, or a related field.
  • Completed at least one year of college education before beginning internship.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Basic knowledge of marketing principles and social media platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Creativity and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Highly motivated and eager to learn.
  • Interest in working on global projects with international colleagues.
  • Must have legal U.S. working authorization to participate in the program.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment screening process.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
