Centralized Order Entry Specialist for NHC Home Office in Murfreesboro, TN
NHC Home Office is looking to hire a Centralized Order Entry Specialist to join our team! Discharge orders are received from an acute care setting for a patient scheduled to admit to an NHC center for post-acute care. The COES Technician is responsible for entering these orders into MatrixCare from the discharge orders for the identified admitting patient. Focus is on accuracy of the order entry to ensure safety for the patient and decreasing the potential for errors.

Qualifications
- A certificate in medical terminology training or past health care experience required.
- Computer skills including previous work with an electronic health record.
- Order entry skills including EHR or written order processing.
- Detail oriented. Ability to recognized incomplete orders.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Are determined by the supervisor and may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work with the NHC center management, regional management, and corporate management to identify process for reviewing and evaluating orders.
- Work with multiple centers to enter orders in an efficient and timely manner.
- Identification of unclear or incomplete orders to request assistance from a nurse to clarify orders.
- Follow established guidelines and procedures to enter orders into MatrixCare for new admissions.
- Follow established guidelines and procedures to enter monitoring criteria or parameters for new admission based on medications, patient diagnosis, discharge orders, or protocols.
- Transmission of orders to pharmacy for processing.
- Ability to be flexible and work with the center for order entry as patients begin arriving at the designated center.
- Identify areas of potential concern to improve overall processes for transition of care.
- Intermittent management of pharmacy reports in MatrixCare for centers, such as but not limited to Pharmacy Fill Review, Unsolicited Pharmacy Fill.
