Boys & Girls Clubs of the Peninsula (BGCP) proudly stands as the largest expanded learning provider in San Mateo County, dedicated to empowering 5,400 TK-College students across 29 sites from East Palo Alto to Daly City. Position Overview

The Talent Acquisition Recruiter at BGCP will play a crucial role in sourcing and recruiting passionate individuals who share our commitment to empowering youth. Your primary focus will be on full-cycle recruitment for various roles across the organization, including front-line program staff. Reporting to the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition, you will support the development of a diverse and skilled team that aligns with BGCP’s mission of providing equitable access to opportunities for young people.

As a proactive and detail-oriented recruiter, you will work closely with hiring managers to understand their needs, source candidates, and guide them through the hiring process. Your role will also involve maintaining job descriptions, ensuring a positive candidate experience, and contributing to the overall success of the Talent Acquisition team.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle recruitment efforts, including job posting management, candidate sourcing, screening, and interview coordination
  • Participate in recruitment events, job fairs, and college information sessions to attract talent
  • Develop a diverse talent pool by leveraging various sourcing methods, including online tools, social media, networking, and employee referrals
  • Assist in recruiting on average 50-75 staff members annually, with a heavy focus on on part-time, front-line program staff
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand their hiring needs and provide tailored recruitment solutions
  • Maintain and update job descriptions to reflect current role requirements and organizational needs
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience by effectively communicating BGCP’s values, culture, and opportunities and providing efficient support throughout the interview process
  • Assist in administering BGCP’s online Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and ensure data accuracy
  • Support the development and implementation of pre-screening protocols to improve recruitment efficiency
  • Collaborate with the Development Team for social media postings and recruitment campaigns
  • Perform additional relevant duties as assigned
  • Provide support as needed for in-person Onboarding of new hires

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting, with a focus on full-cycle recruitment and sourcing
  • Experience in recruiting for diverse roles across various functions or departments
  • Proficient at sourcing
  • Ability to align recruitment efforts with organizational goals
  • Highly collaborative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent customer service
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing recruitment needs and priorities
  • Strong negotiation skills for salary discussions and offers
  • Understanding of relevant labor laws, regulations, and industry trends impacting recruitment

LOCATION & SCHEDULE: Primarily Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. However, flexibility is required to meet the organization's needs and to accommodate peak recruitment periods.

This Position Offers a Hybrid Work Arrangement, Combining Both In-office And Remote Work. You Are Expected To Adhere To The Following Schedule

  • In-Office Days: Currently Tuesdays and Thursdays are designated to be in our Menlo Park office
  • Remote Work: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays are set aside for remote work and site visits
  • Flexibility: Please note that this schedule is subject to change, and adjustments may be made in alignment with organizational needs and evolving circumstances

Salary & Benefits

  • Employment Status: Full-Time Salary
  • Salary Range: $66,560 - $70,000, depending on experience (DOE)

ONBOARDING PROCESS

  • BGCP will cover all costs associated onboarding process requirements
  • A complete LiveScan and Checkr background check is required
  • Undergo a TB test
  • Participate in mandatory onboarding training sessions
