Job Description:

As a Content Developer for our award-winning Precision Design System, you will be crucial in creating, managing, and enhancing content for our Pattern Asset Library, the design system guidance and documentation site. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and UX designers, to ensure our documentation is clear, comprehensive, and user-friendly. Your expertise in content development will help us maintain a high standard of quality and consistency across our documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, write, and edit high-quality content for the Pattern Asset Library documentation site by publishing new content, updating existing content, and keeping content and roadmap current.
  • Create a strategy to improve and execute a comprehensive approach to content development that goes beyond the SDK documentation and into broader guidelines for in-product content.
  • Take ownership of content deliverables across a library of patterns, ensuring all materials are accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with user needs.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to gather information and insights necessary for creating effective documentation.
  • Conduct user research and gather feedback to improve the documentation experience continuously.
  • Implement and maintain content standards, style guides, and templates to ensure consistency across all documentation.
  • Work closely with the UX team to enhance the usability and accessibility of the documentation site.
  • Monitor industry trends and best practices in technical writing and documentation to keep our content relevant and effective.
  • Participate in content reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers to foster a culture of continuous improvement.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in content development, technical writing, or a similar role, preferably in the software or technology industry.
  • Strong understanding of Design Systems, SDKs, APIs, website publishing, and software development processes.
  • Extensive experience with HTML, CSS, and Markdown.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Proficiency in documentation tools and platforms, including GitHub and content delivery.
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and engaging content for diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with user research and usability testing is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $91,000 - $146,000

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
