Role:

Delmock Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled IT Specialist in Enterprise Systems Development (ESD), to support our Federal Client, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS). The role is focused on managing and enhancing enterprise-level IT systems and infrastructure. This role involves a combination of responsibilities related to systems design, configuration, integration, and support, particularly in complex or large-scale IT environments.

Responsibilities:

Design and Configuration Review:

  • Reviews designs and configurations to ensure compliance with best practices and IRS policies/standards.
  • Coordinates with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to facilitate and conduct design/configuration reviews.

Linux Migration Leadership:

  • Leads, facilitates, and coordinates technical discussions related to Linux migrations.
  • Documents and distributes decisions and next steps to relevant stakeholders.

High-Level Architecture Assistance:

  • Assists in high-level architecture, design, and configuration discussions for IRS operations.

Coordination and Reporting:

  • Coordinates activities across various workstreams to maintain project schedules.
  • Collects and reports daily status updates on project progress.

Troubleshooting Support:

  • Assists in troubleshooting infrastructure operations issues.
  • Provides support for resolving technical problems related to JCL and mainframe configurations.

Knowledge Transfer and Training:

  • Provides training to current IRS support staff, including the documentation of processes, procedures, and system configurations.

Onsite Installation and Maintenance:

  • Performs onsite installation, configuration, maintenance, and knowledge transfer of JAVA code on IBM z/OS mainframe.
  • Monitors and reports on Parallel Operations (PO) involving Java personnel.

Programming and Support:

  • Programs on the IBM z/OS mainframe.
  • Supports the installation, configuration, and maintenance of IBM z/OS mainframe hardware.
  • Ensures high service availability for the IBM z/OS mainframe.

Application Monitoring:

  • Utilizes tools for application monitoring and reporting of ITPE J12 and J15 on IBM Mainframe.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Proven ability in IBM z/OS mainframe JAVA programming, including coding changes, updates, and edits within IT source code management protocols.
  • In-depth knowledge of IBM J9 JVM in JZOS, z/OS scheduling, resource allocation, JNI handling, and application performance diagnostics.
  • Basic experience in designing, developing, and deploying Java applications on the z/OS platform.
  • Familiarity with Control-M-O-B.
  • Proficiency in key mainframe skills, including JAVA for z/OS, z/OS JCL, ISPF, SDSF, SMPe, and batch job management.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Effective meeting facilitation and discussion skills.

Clearance:

  • Active IRS MBI (Minimum Background Investigation) Clearance required.
