Senior Mechanical Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client is looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer in Tamarac, FL.

Summary:
The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the design and planning of new and existing products by performing engineering duties and developing, designing and testing mechanical devices.

Responsibilities:
* Senior Mechanical Engineer designs, develops, and tests all aspects of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery
* Responsible for planning, input, review, output, validation of, and changes of the design for assigned tasks
* Maintain electronic job files as applicable to assigned tasks
* Technical mechanical resource to Sales, Service and Production
* Applies knowledge of engineering principles to design products such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
* Involved in fabrication, operation, application, installation, and/or repair of mechanical products
* Cross-trains designated back-ups
* As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will create/modify 3D parts and assemblies
* Create/modify 2d Mechanical Drawings
* Mechanical Design Changes
* Create/modify technical manuals
* Creating/modify work instructions

REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
* Must be skilled in the use of Microsoft Office, 3D Modeling, and other software or technology as relevant to this position
* Inventor experience required
* ERP system knowledge is a plus

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
