One of our Global Partners in technology and professional services is looking for a VOIP/Cloud Solutions Architect to join their growing team on a large program supporting the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA). These roles will support a critical mission for HRSA -- maintaining Hosting, Networking, Security, Server, Identity and Access Management, and Tier II Operations in support of the HRSA mission in a 24x7x365 environment. REQUIREMENTS:

• 8+ years of engineering and architecture experience migrating VoIP/telephony platforms in a Cloud environment (including Avaya to MS Teams)
• 5+ years of experience in an Azure cloud environment – expert level knowledge in Azure Virtual Networks (VNet) including VMs, VPN Gateway, Azure App Services, NSGs, etc.
• Extensive experience presenting solutions/requirements to business leaders for architecture design as well as implementing (hands-on) technical solutions alongside engineering team
• Must be able to obtain a Public Trust, Tier 2 clearance (successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process including fingerprinting)
• Excellent communication skills with self-starter, initiative taking mentality – ability to work later hours if needed to meet deadlines

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• Experience supporting HHS or NIH programs for the government

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Designing migration plan through implementation for HRSA users from Avaya to Microsoft Teams, leveraging Azure infrastructure and its services (integrating telephony services, ensuring network configurations in the Azure VNet environment, and implementing security best practices.)
• Provide deep and broad technical expertise/advice in Azure networking – standing as the Cloud SME for this program and it’s initiatives
• Translate business goals and operational needs into a technical roadmap for VoIP migration, ensuring alignment between technical design and business objectives.
• Ensure successful integration between Microsoft Teams and the existing Avaya systems during the migration, maintaining essential voice functionality until the migration is fully completed. This also includes configuring Direct Routing or Microsoft Calling Plans for Teams.
• Engage in regular meetings with business leaders to provide status updates, adjust strategies based on evolving business needs, and ensure the migration project remains aligned with broader business goals.
