Exciting opportunity for a talented and experienced Quality Engineer to become part of an innovative and growing company manufacturing highly engineered composite material components for electrical grid, defense, and medical applications. The Quality Engineer is a driven and dedicated individual who is passionate about creating high quality products that meet customer needs and drive business growth.

Position Summary

The Quality Engineer will collaborate with quality technicians, manufacturing engineers, and the production team to ensure the quality of products both in process and at final inspection. You will work with a cross-functional team to identify and address quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and ensure robust manufacturing procedures and documentation for all product lines.

Responsibilities

  • Support acquiring and maintaining an ISO 9001:2015 Certification
  • Develop standard work documentation for quality testing
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering and production team members on the development of control plans for existing and new products.
  • Develop and document inspection plans for existing and new products
  • Design and Develop Fixtures and Processes for New and Existing Products
  • Interface with customers to support customer quality audits.
  • Develop and maintain non-conformance/corrective action processes
  • Interface with customers and create engineering reports on quality issues
  • Maintain and oversee the electrical test lab
  • Use statistical methods to analyze quality and process data
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by the Director of Engineering

Requirements

  • BSc in Engineering, mechanical, material, or electrical preferred
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in manufacturing or quality engineering or a related field
  • Experience with SolidWorks or related CAD software
  • Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt preferred
  • Experience with root cause analysis and related tools
  • Experience with SPC and related methods
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing Principles
  • Desire to grow and acquire new skills/certifications
  • Strong collaboration and Interpersonal Skills
