We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an IT Procurement Director in the Des Moines area. This role is in the service industry and will be based in a professional workplace environment. The IT Procurement Director will be instrumental in overseeing the procurement process within a technology-focused business, ensuring optimization of vendor spend and fulfilment of corporate objectives.

Responsibilities:

Drive the execution of strategy and annual plan, aligning with business priorities.

Lead the process of new and renewal contracts with vendors.

Identify and implement process improvements within the procurement function.

Develop and monitor a comprehensive procurement process ensuring compliance.

Analyze, monitor, and track contract performance, taking necessary action as required.

Conduct frequent evaluation of vendor requirements, including volume requirements.

Negotiate contract terms with vendors directly or assist in negotiations.

Ensure contracts are obtained, properly archived, and maintained in the contract repository.

Foster strong collaboration with internal stakeholders across departments.

Leverage strong financial analysis and reporting skills to achieve savings targets.

Requirements

Demonstrated expertise in Enterprise SaaS, B2B SaaS, SaaS, SAAS - Software As A Service, and SaaS Products
Proficient in Corporate Procurement and Procurement Strategy
Proven experience in a leadership role within the IT procurement sector
Ability to develop and implement strategic procurement initiatives
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers
Excellent understanding of the service industry and its specific procurement needs
Solid analytical skills to evaluate vendors, products, and services
Proven ability to manage and coordinate procurement teams
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong decision-making skills and the ability to work under pressure
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
Professional certifications in procurement or supply chain management would be advantageous.
