The Computer Systems Tech is more than just a modern day computer technician. They provide hardware support to multiple lines of businesses. The Computer Systems Tech might respond to a laptop or PC error, point of sale issue, park ticketing booth call, a time clock concern, even a mobile device problem. The Computer Systems Tech is expected to resolve trouble tickets assigned to them by the end of each shift then communicate back to the team on statuses. The Computer System Tech might be expected to complete work alone or in a team environment, all the while supporting guests and clients, so strong guest service skills are a must. The field service position may include work from elevated platforms and confined spaces throughout the Walt Disney World Parks and Resort property.

The pay rate for this role in Florida is $37.43 per hour.

Basic Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in computer software and hardware support and repair.
  • Strong Experience with Android OS, Mac OS, Mobile Device Management (MDM) software
  • Strong Experience with Windows 7 and 10 operating systems
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Possess HP Desktop/Notebook and IBM Lenovo Certifications or ability to obtain in 90 days of hire
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting Point of Sale equipment
    • PAX, Tap to Pay, receipt printers, cash drawers, etc.
    • HP Engage One Terminal
    • Zebra ET45 & ET56 Tablets
    • Android OS Configuration
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in office software programs and mobile electronic devices
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of theme park and resort operations.
Required Education

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, or 4 years equivalent work experience

Preferred Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronics, Video or 6 years equivalent work experience
