This team is looking for a hands-on Senior Developer to be a part of our Order Management team. This team supports our four global trading desks and builds applications and integrations to enable our Traders to achieve Best Execution for our clients effectively and efficiently.

We can facilitate w2 and corp-to-corp consultants. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $100 - $140 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:
You will be part of a high-performing group of engineers setting, mentoring and evolving the technology direction of our next-generation n-tier, native cloud enabled products. You need to be passionate about all aspects of software engineering - performance, security, usability, reusability and maintainability. You also need to be equally passionate about teaching and inspiring members of your team.

Experience Requirements:
o Strong academic record and a degree with high mathematical and computing content e.g. Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or Physics from a leading university.

o 8+ years of progressive software engineering experience

o Expert knowledge in one or more programming language(s) - C#/Python/Java

o Proficient on Linux platforms with knowledge of various scripting languages

o Familiarity with a variety of programming styles (e.g. OO, functional) and in-depth knowledge of design patterns

o Strong Test-Driven Development and desire to write simple, adaptive and iterative code

o Enthusiastic embrace of DevOps culture and collaborative software engineering

o Experience working in a dynamic, fast-paced, Agile team environment

o Strong interpersonal skills; able to establish and maintain a close working relationship with Portfolio Managers, Traders, Support Personnel, other engineers, and senior business people alike.

Preferred Qualifications:

o Experience as senior developer in hedge fund or broker-dealer firms

o Advanced Computer Science, Math or Financial Engineering degree

o A solid understanding of tradable financial instruments (securities, derivatives) and capital markets

o Experience building containerized applications and deploying to public or private clouds, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or similar providers.

o Experience using AWS services like lambdas, EC2 instances, ECS clusters, and step functions

o Strong knowledge of one or more relevant database technologies e.g. SQL Server, Sybase, DyanomoDb, Postgres

o Open source involvement such as a well-curated blog, accepted contribution, or community presence

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
