Job Overview:
Tyson Foods is hiring Maintenance Technicians for our Prepared Foods Division at our Zeeland, MI location. These roles are essential for ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the plant by maintaining and troubleshooting equipment. Maintenance Technicians will perform preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment. Key Responsibilities:
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance and emergency repairs on plant equipment (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic).
Troubleshooting: Identify and fix issues to minimize equipment downtime and improve safety and efficiency.
Documentation: Use basic computer skills to log daily work orders and complete required documentation in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Collaboration: Work closely with plant personnel to ensure smooth operations and resolve equipment issues.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of industrial maintenance experience or
1 year of industrial maintenance education (technical school diploma or currently enrolled).
Applicants may be considered for Associate, General, or Senior Maintenance Technician roles depending on their skills and experience.

Skills:
Basic computer skills for logging maintenance activities.
Effective communication and basic math skills, including percentages, fractions, and measurements.

Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 75 lbs occasionally and 20 lbs frequently.
Ability to stand, walk, climb, bend, and stoop for up to 12 hours per day.
Must be comfortable working in confined and tall spaces, performing repetitive movements, and doing overhead work.
Temperatures in the plant may range from -25 F to over 100 F, and outside work may be required.
