Job Title: Billing/Cylinder Leasing Specialist

Purpose of the Position:

The Billing/Cylinder Leasing Specialist is responsible for reviewing cylinder lease and deposit data from charge or sales slips to ensure account numbers are accurate; monitor lease and deposit expirations and cancelations; and prepare invoices for lease or deposit agreements with accuracy. They will be accountable for submitting invoices for supervisory approval of charges and credit terms. This position will also be responsible for collecting on cylinder leases and amounts under $500.00.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answers telephone and direct calls/take messages and route to personnel
  • Generate monthly cylinder lease renewal billing
  • Maintain books/records for customer cylinder lease and deposit agreements
  • Performs collection activities on open cylinder leases
  • Process quarterly write off file
  • Enter data, keyboard, type correspondence, open incoming mail, date stamp, distribute, file, prepare outgoing mail, make copies, print reports, make collections and interface with customers and service accounts
  • Keep records and books of business transactions and activities
  • Prepare reports for management
  • Maintains control of paperwork and forms
  • Trouble shoot, make judgments and “think on feet”
  • Research data as requested

Education, Experience and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalency
  • 3-5 previous customer service experience as well as collections experience
  • Average reasoning, math and language skills
  • Above average clerical aptitude and ability to perform a variety of duties, attain precise set limits,

tolerances and standards, and work with people
