The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, enhancing, and maintaining TIRKS (Telecommunications Inventory and Record Keeping System) platform, which is critical to managing telecommunications infrastructure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless operation and scalability of our network management system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Development & Customization: Design, develop, and maintain TIRKS modules to meet business requirements.
  • System Integration: Ensure effective integration of TIRKS with other network management and inventory systems.
  • Data Management: Manage and maintain accurate records of network inventory, including circuits, fiber optics, and equipment.
  • Optimization: Perform regular system assessments to identify areas for optimization and performance improvement.
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Provide expert troubleshooting and resolve system issues promptly, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with network engineering and operations teams to align TIRKS functionality with business needs.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, workflows, and user guides.
  • Training: Provide training and support to internal users to ensure effective system usage.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • Experience:
    • 3+ years of experience in TIRKS development or a similar telecommunications inventory system.
    • Proven experience with programming languages such as COBOL, C, or Java used in TIRKS development.
    • Knowledge of telecom networks, circuit provisioning, and inventory management.
    • Experience with system integration and database management.

  • Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving abilities with an analytical mindset.
    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
    • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and software development best practices.
    • Experience with troubleshooting and resolving system-related issues.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with telecommunications infrastructure and Brightspeed s network operations.
  • Experience working with other telecom inventory management systems (e.g., Granite, NetCracker).
  • Knowledge of network protocols and technologies such as MPLS, Ethernet, and fiber optics.
  • Experience in capacity planning and fault management.
