Role Description:
The Fircosoft Application Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Fircosoft Sanctions Screening Systems within the Compliance Technology division. This role is crucial for ensuring the bank's compliance with Sanctions Screening, Know Your Customer (KYC), and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations. The specialist will work on maintaining and enhancing Fircosoft applications (Firco Continuity and Firco Trust), addressing production issues, performing system upgrades, and ensuring the integration of the latest sanctions lists.

This position requires a strong tactical focus and the ability to work with minimal supervision to deliver reliable, error-free solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Develop/Implement Code and Configuration: Plan, design, and develop configurations for Fircosoft applications (Firco Continuity and Firco Trust).
Business Requirements & Analysis: Analyze and verify business requirements, flows, and project deliverables.
Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Provide solutions to issues in various environments and perform detailed root cause analysis.
Customer Support & Monitoring: Maintain customer satisfaction by delivering timely solutions and support for Dow Jones Factiva list updates.
System Upgrades: Lead and collaborate with stakeholders on system software upgrades.
Testing & Quality Assurance: Create and execute test cases and scripts for validating changes and releases.
Collaboration & Communication: Effectively collaborate with business users, support teams, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:
Fircosoft Expertise: Proven experience with Fircosoft Sanction Screening (Firco Continuity, Firco Trust) and related utilities such as FMM, FML, FUM, FFFClassic, etc.
Compliance Knowledge: Strong knowledge of sanctions screening, AML transaction monitoring, and other compliance-related functions.

Hands-On Technical Skills:
Experience with UNIX and Windows shell scripting for process automation.
Proficiency in SQL scripting (Oracle, MS SQL).
Experience with scheduling software tools (e.g., TWS) and file transfer processes (e.g., MQFTE).
Development & Integration: Proven experience in system design and integration within real-time payment environments.
Testing & Quality Control: Expertise in both waterfall and agile development methodologies.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:
Firco Continuity V6 Upgrade: Experience with Firco Continuity V6 upgrade projects is a plus.
Financial Services Experience: Understanding of the business criticality of production environments in financial services.
