Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct workflow studies and perform data and business analysis.
  • Recommend modifications to existing data systems to improve practices.
  • Write, review, and automate SQL for EDI transactions.
  • Assess the downstream effects of EDI changes.
  • Perform quality assurance and testing of EDI processes to ensure data integrity and compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Identify and resolve failures in EDI processes in collaboration with internal teams and vendors.
  • Gather business requirements, analyze data, document mapping specifications, and configure applications for EDI.
  • Work closely with business units to ensure requirements align with workflow needs.
  • Collaborate with developers on system setup, data uploads, and reporting.
  • Design, develop, implement, and deploy solutions that support EDI transactions and processes.
  • Ensure all project deliverables and incident ticket deadlines are met.
  • Provide EDI-related support, including production monitoring, file maintenance, and consultation with internal and external users as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Equivalent to a graduation from an accredited four-year college or university (120 semester units or 180 quarter units) with a major in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or a related field, and five years of experience in an EDI Analyst role.
  • Proven success in processing and maintaining Health Care EDI.
  • Expertise in designing, developing, testing, implementing, and maintaining applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify and understand issues, compare data from different sources to draw conclusions, and choose appropriate courses of action.
  • Experience in project management and implementing application enhancements and solutions.
  • Ability to coordinate resources, personnel, and activities for successful project completion.
