The Assistant Cook prepares food for catering events. AC-Catering will deliver, set-up, tear-down, and serve during catering events
Roles And Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals for catering events. Deliver and set-up catering functions
- Bake and deliver pastries to Café Express. Assist, as needed, with set-up and service at Café Express
- Update catering functions in binder on a daily basis
- Communicate daily with production for hot food needs
- Place orders, as needed, for linens, equipment rentals, flowers, etc.
- Assemble and deliver supplies to hospital units. Deliver supplies to courier for off-site locations
- Complete monthly billing for department supplies and catering functions
- Fill in on production positions, as needed.
- Maintain catering storage, food storage and production areas in inspection-ready condition. Notify management of any needed supplies.
- Adhere to all local, state and federal food safety and sanitation codes
- 1 years of cooking/food production.
- 1 year of catering experience
- Ability to work a flexible schedule as business needs dictate
- 3+ years of catering experience
- 3+ years of cooking experience
- Servsafe or Food Safety Manager certified
- 2-year culinary degree
- Standing for long periods of time, lifting up to 50 pounds, sitting, pushing, pulling and reaching.
- May be exposed to areas of extreme heat or cold.
- Primary work location may include loud noises, wet and slippery conditions, exposure to sharp objects.
- A licensed ability to drive may be necessary.
- $16.83 - $21.63 per hour plus benefits
