A mid-sized consulting firm in Philadelphia that merges landscape architecture and civil engineering is hiring a Junior Landscape Designer to join their team! Job Description:

• The successful candidate will join the team of landscape architects and planners to deliver high quality transportation plans, community plans, and site designs to a variety of clients, including Departments of Transportation, Land Use and Planning Departments, Parks and Recreation Departments, Universities, and private developers
• As a part of the team, you will play a vital role in designing outdoor spaces that promote sustainability with an emphasis on active modes of transportation, such as trails, bicycle facilities, pedestrian walkways, and greenways
• Creation of graphic material depicting concepts and design plans utilizing various software platforms
• Prepare presentation and design drawings, including 2D and 3D visualizations, renderings, technical drawings, and maps
• Assist with public engagement activities
• Assist staff in collecting and preparing data for various planning projects
• Assist with the preparation of construction documents, including plans, specifications, and cost estimates
• Manage a full meeting calendar, create and mail committee meeting packages
• Conduct field work
  
  

Qualifications:

• 0-3 years of experience as a Landscape Architect or Planner
• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture or related discipline
• Proficiency in AutoCAD is required
• Strong knowledge of graphic design and software programs (Adobe Creative Suite, ArcGIS, Microsoft Office)
• Strong technical and report writing skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
