Primary tasks
  • Clipping / distribute daily press break memos
  • Answering phones
  • Setting up appointments
  • Sending out email campaigns
  • Assist with press pitching
  • Prepare and maintain status reports, tune in notices, wrap reports
  • Send and track press screener links
  • Staff and help at events including premieres, press days, festivals
  • Covering press screenings
  • Keeping press and contacts databases updated
RequirementsThe successful candidate for this position will have had some schooling in the communications or film studies fields. Excellent communication and writing abilities are a key competency in this position. Skills in Microsoft Office and Google Docs suite are required as is a general proficiency with computers. Candidates should be savvy with online media and social media platforms. In addition, the successful candidate should be creative, hardworking, and a responsible recent college graduate that has a strong interest in publicity, films, and film festivals. This is an on-site job in New York City.
Ideal candidates must be dedicated, detail-oriented and eager to assist the department's overall operations.
