IT/OT Architect
LOA: 6 months + potential extensions
Location: Hybrid - 1 hybrid in Thousand Oaks, CA, (near Los Angeles), 1 Hybrid in College Station, TX (between Austin/Houston)
  • Develop and design IT architecture that integrates OT systems.
  • Conduct security reviews across the infrastructure.
  • Investigate current systems, identify improvements, and create proposals.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand and align project goals.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and frameworks (NIST-2, IEC62443, ISO27001, NIST 800-82, BARDA).
  • Support qualification and validation processes, particularly in manufacturing environments.
Requirements
Must-Have:
  • Strong background in manufacturing IT and OT environments.
  • Experience in manufacturing expansion projects.
  • Experience mapping level 0-5 of a Purdue model to a manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to speak to and understand business requirements.
  • Experience with security reviews and infrastructure assessments.
  • Experience in investigating systems and creating proposals for improvements.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in IT/OT engineering, possessing in-depth knowledge of IT/OT regulations and frameworks (NIST-2, IEC62443, ISO27001, NIST 800-82 and BARDA).
  • Experience in qualification and validation processes.
  • Knowledge of Vaisala systems.
  • Experienced with SQL database administration.
  • Experience of laboratory, analytical equipment.
  • Advanced knowledge of operational technology such as PLCs, RTUs, and other industrial control devices.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in IT/OT engineering (10+ years).
  • Experienced in the design and implementation of secure IT/OT architectures (especially aligned with purdue model).
  • In-depth understanding of network protocols, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems
  • Previous experience with GxP, GMP, GAMP5, and IEC 62443 guidelines.
Technical Skills:
  • Extensive knowledge of OT technologies and systems.
  • Understanding of IT and OT convergence.
  • Experience with relevant tools and platforms used in OT environments.
  • Knowledge of IT Controls methodologies, including GAMP5 and ITIL.
