Position Overview:

They is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Marketing Strategist to join our US Pharmaceutical Value Chain team in Irving, Texas. This role will be pivotal in driving marketing strategies that elevate McKesson’s brand and its portfolio of services within the pharmaceutical sector. As the Lead Marketing Strategist, you will work closely with cross-functional teams, develop go-to-market strategies, and create impactful campaigns that align with business objectives across the US Pharmaceutical Value Chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and lead the execution of marketing strategies that support McKesson’s US pharmaceutical value chain services and product portfolio.
  • Market Positioning: Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitor activities to identify growth opportunities, positioning McKesson as a leader in the pharmaceutical distribution industry.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Design and execute go-to-market strategies for new and existing services that differentiate McKesson in the marketplace, targeting key stakeholders within the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.
  • Content & Campaign Development: Collaborate with internal and external teams to create high-impact marketing content, campaigns, and messaging across various channels, ensuring consistency in branding and market presence.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product management, sales, and other internal teams to align marketing efforts with business goals and sales initiatives.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage data analytics and performance metrics to continually optimize marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with KPIs and business growth.
  • Customer Engagement: Develop strategies for deepening engagement with customers, building long-term partnerships, and driving customer loyalty.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and lead a high-performing marketing team, fostering collaboration, creativity, and results-oriented execution.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or equivalent and typically requires 10+ years of experience in marketing, communications, product management, and/or brand management. Less years required if has relevant Master’s or Doctorate qualifications.
  • 4+ years of leadership experience highly preferred.
  • Experience in the biopharma or healthcare industry is highly desirable.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with experience influencing stakeholders at various levels.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
