Position Summary

As PGA TOUR Superstore’s focus on supply chain optimization increases, this role will expand accordingly. The position will play a crucial role in enhancing the company’s efficiency and profitability. It demands a broad set of skills and experiences to effectively support various aspects of company operations, with a strong emphasis on independent execution. Candidates who are successful in this role will demonstrate the ability to lead, analyze, and communicate strategic initiatives effectively.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • 5+ years’ experience in transportation, supply chain, logistics planning or related fields.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in Logistics, Operations Management, Business Industrial Engineering, or related field or equivalent years of work-related experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing inbound freight and 3PL partnerships with a deep knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
  • Highly analytical; critically and objectively evaluates information, data, and insights to enhance your understanding and make strategic business recommendations.
  • Ability to maintain balance between attention to detail and high-level thinking strategy
  • Excellent communicator who can influence, network, and develop deep relationships across the organization

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of product transportation from the point of origin to the 3PL warehouse and onward to retail stores, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Manages the day-to-day relationship with the third-party logistics provider, ensuring seamless operations, resolving issues, and driving performance improvements to align with business goals.
  • Analyzes logistics data to monitor the efficiency of vendor shipments and cross-docking operations, focusing on KPIs such as dock-to-dock transfer time, transportation lead times, and cost per shipment.
  • Help develop and execute long-term transportation optimization strategies, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless alignment with the company’s strategic business goals.
  • Work closely with retail teams to ensure that stores receive the correct merchandise on time, directly supporting store replenishment efforts through the cross-docking process.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for resolving logistics challenges, ensuring that goods move efficiently from suppliers to stores without unnecessary delays.
  • Leverage historical data and forecasting techniques to develop predictive models that inform future logistics spending.
  • Must be flexible, willing to undertake a wide variety of challenging tasks, and special projects as needed.
  • Builds long-term, strategic relationships and collaborates with senior stakeholders across the organization to resolve complex issues and help move forward strategic priorities.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand and/or sit for extended periods of time as the job is completed primarily at a desk each day. Variable desk heights are offered so alternatively sitting and/or standing at the desk is optional.
  • Flexibility to work extended and varying hours as needed.

Travel:

  • 20% of travel required
