Job Title: FPGA Design and Verification Engineer

Security Clearance: Secret
Security Clearance Comments: Must have secret level clearance prior to start. Please only submit candidates that currently hold an active secret clearance.

Location: Orlando, FL
Travel: Up to 10% domestic travel required
On-Site Requirements: Primarily on-site due to integration lab duties (at least 50% during development and up to 100% for hardware integration)
Summary
Seeking an FPGA Design and Verification Engineer for a missile program. This role involves developing SystemVerilog source code and simulations for safety electronic device applications. The candidate will work independently and as part of a larger electrical team to develop electronic solutions in an Agile environment. Responsibilities also include coordinating with system safety engineering and safety board meetings to ensure design compliance with government safety standards. The role leverages key technologies and tools from multiple related programs within the corporation.

The individual must communicate technical status and issues internally to program and functional leadership, as well as externally to customers and suppliers. Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
Required Experience/Skills:
  • Verilog/SystemVerilog design and self-checking test bench experience
  • Electrical engineering design experience on weapon development programs
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work under consultative direction towards predetermined long-range goals and objectives
Desired Skills:
  • Senior electrical engineering experience on weapon development
  • UVM Testbench experience
  • Experience with safety-critical design practices
  • Experience with electrical design using Agile methods/processes
