Position Salary: $100,000 - $125,000 - (Depending on Experience) + Bonus


Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for supporting the management and sales of service engineering commercial project efforts in conjunction with the commercial project engineering team. This includes, but is not limited to, commercial sales, fabrication quality inspection of fabricated equipment, providing technical assistance to onsite contractors and customers, creation of processes and work instructions, contract and customer training, detailing special instructions and onsite problem solving as required.

  • Responsible for the planning and execution onsite client activities. These efforts include facilities equipment inspections and operational system evaluation.

  • As part of the commercial sales team, work with and support the regional sales and engineering directors in all efforts to manage customer required engineering service work.

  • Provide technical expertise and direction to assist to clients to improve client product satisfaction and facilitate successful operation of provided engineering services and products. Ensure good customer relations and maintain open customer communications.

  • Define maintenance processes and develop new engineering procedures to provide a stable environment that promotes efficient technical assistance and a safe onsite work environment.

  • Develop and manage programs to pro-actively reduce commercial engineering onsite and project costs, improve fabrication efficiencies, and align commercial engineering priorities consistent with the optimization of client requirements.

  • Build and maintain customer relationships based on existing customer list, with a focus on customers who have not recently been visited.

  • Execute and support off site and onsite engineering and design work, ensuring it is done pursuant to contract specifications and quality procedures, and is delivered according to project deadlines.

  • Execute engineering projects at customer installations, equipment fabricators, off site engineering companies, including design, quotations, tests, implementation.

  • Modify equipment standards to accommodate new engineering designs and O&M procedures.

  • Work closely with the commercial sales team globally during the proposal process to ensure deadlines can be met for required documents, performance curves, and engineering services.

  • Communicate with clients throughout the project building and maintaining client relationships.

  • Communicate with sub-suppliers in regard to engineering service quotations, scheduling, quality requirements and delivery of services.

  • Responsible for preparing technical and commercial components of engineering service proposals utilizing the company engineering tools.

  • Conduct assessments of customer operation process to determine best solution to meet customer onsite and offsite engineering expectations.

  • Research and author technical papers and presentations, represent the company and its engineering and catalyst products at customer visits, conferences, and exhibitions.

  • Initiate and direct customer terms and conditions review. Liaising with the Regional Directors and legal departments to ensure contracts meet best practices.

  • Cultivate innovative salesmanship, comprehension of plant cultures and commercial operation processes, optimize and utilize the company engineering tools and procedures, to generate pricing for service engineering projects.

  • Manage and execute catalyst replacement projects that require additional offsite and onsite technical expertise in mechanical engineering and construction.

  • Arrange, prepare, and conduct client onsite and offsite visits for the purpose of presenting technical presentations. Prioritize follow up as appropriate to increase market share.

  • Provide technical expertise within the industry identifying solutions to process problems associated with emission reduction.

  • Expand and develop client base by being a subject matter expert.

  • Troubleshooting and resolving any and all engineering and product related issues.

  • Assist with all root cause analysis and troubleshooting activities in after sales support for clients.

  • Perform onsite and offsite inspections, foster client relationships through face to face contact.

  • Assist product Manager with reviewing and revising sample test reports as appropriate. Providing technical guidance to accurately communicate laboratory results to all parties involved.


Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical or chemical engineering or a similar field is preferred, but equivalent years of experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree

  • 3 + years of project engineering experience in the Chemical Industry with Engineering Sales and/or Project Management experience preferred.

  • 3 + years of related industrial experience

  • Able to travel both domestically and internationally for client needs (40-50% of the time)

  • Ability to maintain relationships with colleagues

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with staff and customers

  • Able to work with a diverse group from different backgrounds and different disciplines

  • Excellent conflict management skills

  • Strong inter-personal and management skills (communicating, motivating, and developing team members)

  • Must be able to manage multiple deadlines with competing priorities

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Mathematical Skills

  • Familiarity with Project Management principals

  • Proficiency with the use of Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SAP
